Welcome to the first edition, I will be covering the most interesting experiments in the web3 space.

The model uses decentralized finance technology to deposit revenues from ticket sales and digital merchandising (a.k.a. NFTs) in a "microfund". This generates a bank interest-style "yield" over time, which can be split via a smart contract.

The model also opens up to possible "sub-DAOs", where people involved in a concert can vote on when and how to liquidate their micro-fund.

Incorporating web3 technology behind the scenes, without every member involved necessarily having to be an expert on the subject, is definitely interesting approach. However, AmplifyYou should be more transparent

 about the specifics of the yield farming going on in the background, especially given the

Enabling coordination mechanisms is one of the strongest use cases for crypto right now , and applying this to the music business makes a lot of sense given the pure passion typical of music fans. 

I think "choose your own adventure" style games are really fun so the short term appeal is there.  I'm also very curious to see how people will relate to virtual artists, especially once the novelty aspect has faded away.

: a free to mint collection of 5,000 utility-enabled, audio-visual NFTs.

Each NFT comes with its own 30 second track, generated from a range of bass lines, drums, melodies, sound effects and vocal samples produced originally by The Stickmen Project. 

Using a custom built algorithmic randomiser, the visual art traits are mapped to audio stems which creates a unique character and track.

Within the collection there will also be rare Bose themed characters with custom audio tracks and hand painted traits, unique from the main collection.

Perks for owners include the underlying copyright to the NFTs, with royalty-free licence to commercialise the audio and visual product, the ability to claim merchandise and priority spots for future Warner Records NFT drops. 

Warner and Bose are the latest mainstream brands to venture into the world of web3. 

 incubator, they are launching a collection which has all the elements of what made an NFT drop successful during the 2021 NFT craze.

: The platform for on-chain music creation shares a suite of new tools. 

After launching Arpeggi Genesis, an in-browser DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to mint songs as fully on-chain Music NFTs , in V2 anyone can connect their wallet to Arpeggi, freely remix existing songs or use the CC0 sample library to make new ones.

When an artist mints a song on Arpeggi, the audio is registered in ARP, a decentralized on-chain music registry protocol. This acts as a record of authorship to the blockchain and adds the song and loops to an open library of registered sounds. 

Through ARP, every song and loop created in Arpeggi is available for remixing and sampling with guaranteed attribution to original creators.

Collaboration and sampling are integral parts of the modern way of making music, so a platform that focuses on giving attribution to original creators makes a lot of sense. When a song succeeds, so should the contributors. 

Using the blockchain as an on-chain record is one of the most straightforward ways to take advantage of this emerging technology. Sometimes we don't need to overcomplicate things.

Right now the DAW is pretty limited, especially comparing to the popular off-chain counterparts. We'll see how it will develop, along with the Arpeggi community.
