There have been some notable issues in the crypto trading industry as those who aren’t full-time traders complain of losing more of their assets due to certain reasons

Below are common benefits and problems that come with investing in nfts. I'll start with the benefits first;


Being a fungible asset that is built on the blockchain network, it's impossible to have two same nft. Each nfts have unique codes that links it to its rightful owners. Although an Nft could be mimicked by other artists or individuals, the original nfts has its unique code. For example, The Mona Lisa painting could be mimicked but the original piece has a unique traceable code.


Publishing your digital asset as an Nft triggers scarcity. One of the reasons nft has come to stay is because it increases the Value/Audience of a particular Nft/Creator. The online presence of an nft is also important, the long the nft stays the higher it gets recognition and value. Investors use this strategy of buying nft at an early and waiting till the prices increases in the long run. 


 This doesn't always mean the price will always go up. It might also decrease in value and price. 

As I mentioned earlier, there's space for everyone in the blockchain industry. Artists can list their arts, poets can list a unique poem, Realtors can tokenize a land, Teachers can tokenize students' certificates, and musician can publish their music in different marketplace. There's absolutely no limit to what can be achieved in the nft space. Making more money shouldn't be a problem​

Doing this will reduce the value and price of the existing Nft. It's very important that you bargain on this before purchasing any Nft.

Just like cryptocurrencies, the price of a particular Nft can either increase or decrease due to the value. The Value of a nft lies in its uniqueness. If a particular asset isn't unique it's very likely for it to decrease in value. 

Nft Scams can't be overemphasized, there are many scam nft projects with good communities but bad intentions. They employ you to invest your funds on a particular nft, then it loses value. 


Always try to make sure to do thorough research on any project you're willing to invest in.

This is one strategy that is widely used amongst investors. It's an act of being the first set to get hold of a particular nft before it gets minted thereby having the opportunity to trade during mint. 


To become whitelisted on a particular nft project you must be a solid supporter of that project i.e following them on different social media platforms, Engaging in their communities, and Referring people to the projects. In essence, it is being dedicated to that project. 

Another benefit of being whitelisted is that you get to buy these nfts at a very lower price or discount rate. This serves as a reward for supporters because the success rate of a project is dependent on its Community, Engagements, etc.

This is one risky strategy to make money from nfts but it's worth trying. This is an act of buying as soon as the nft is being minted out on their website. the advantage of this is that you get to buy fast before the price increases. 


Doing this is quite risky, why? This is because you're in competition with many people/bots during this mint. Take note that once you've made a transaction on a Blockchain network, it is not reversible even with the gas fees. This might cause you to lose a large amount of money once you're not fast enough.

Know also that at mint, you don't know whether that nft will be profitable or not. It is under probability as they have no past record. Although people have made money using this strategy, it's not always advisable to use.

    • Buying at Secondary Market and Selling Later

This is the most profitable way of making money in nft. A secondary market is where first buyers resell their collected nft.


Why is this profitable? It is profitable because it's already been minted, they now have a market history that you can analyze unlike buying at mint. You're able to use different technical tools to analyze highs and lows. Helping you to make better decisions before buying 

Furthermore, you have pieces of information like its trading volume and market capitalization at your fingertips all to help you make better-informed decisions. 

Minting an Nft is an act of publishing a digital product in the marketplace. I'll be giving you steps you can use to mint or buy nft as they have the same steps with little difference;

There are many nft marketplaces where you can publish your nft e.g Opensea, Rarible, Foundation, Nifty Gateway, SuperRare, etc. They must be an online marketplace you trust as they'll require you to give them access to your wallet for transactions.


Although it is a Non-Fungible token, it still relies on cryptocurrencies for transactions. Creating a new wallet just for nft transactions different from your main wallet is much more safer due to hacks and other cyber attacks. The new wallet may be on a phantom wallet, or metamask depending on the Marketplace you want to use


As I mentioned earlier, you make transactions using cryptocurrencies. Most marketplaces use Ethereum for transactions, while some use Solana, etc. Transfer a substantial amount of the cryptocurrency used on the marketplace you want to buy/mint from to the new wallet you created to make sure it's enough as gas fees also will be deducted from it.


You can now Mint or purchase the nft. Minting in the different marketplace has different steps. Some may require you to give a particular description (Meta Description) and information about the nft you want to mint while some may not. Same also for if you want to buy them. Just follow the steps given, and you'll be fine.

There are different terms that need to be known if you want to flow in conversation on nft projects communities. I'll be giving you 10 common terms used in the nft space;


This is an act of purchasing a particular at an early stage, and selling it almost immediately for a profit. This is most likely done at a project's mint stage. 


This is when you buy NFT from a project without doing thorough research. This leads to a common term 

This is when an unknown nft project mimics another known nft project. it's mostly done by new nft creators. Investors should take note, that it might be a scam.

This is a common term amongst gamers in the nft space. It Just literally means "Play to Earn". These are nft games that reward their players with unique nft characters. Examples of P2E games are Axie Infinity, Fabwelt, etc...


Whenever you hear this phrase, it's mostly used for nft community moderators telling them to Enlighten the audience and urge them to stay glued to the project.


This happens whenever there's a popular nft lookalike from another creator. He'll be asked to Take down the nft he/she published on the marketplace.

 It's a NFT that has much value. Investors prefer to fill their portfolios with collectibles to sell later.


It's an acronym for Opensea. It serves as both a primary and secondary marketplace for Nft creators/investors.

This is just to identify how many unique nfts a particular project has e.g 10k means 10,000 unique nfts. This also applies to 5k, 3k, etc 


During an Early Mint/buy, to increase chances of getting a unique nft investors try to increase their gas fees above the normal fee to get through transactions fast. This is called Gas War.

This is 2022, and according to Coinmarketcap 20,434 cryptocurrencies have surfaced with a market capitalization of 1trilion dollars.

Why am I saying this?, We all know that even in many other sectors there will always be bad eggs amongst the good ones that might not be easy to spot. But due to the advancement in technology being able to spot cryptocurrency scam projects shouldn't be a problem.

In this article, I'll be showing you what you should look out for before investing in any projects. It's more like a fundamental analysis of trading. This article will be a short and precise one.


These few steps that I'll be giving you are very important and must be taken seriously so as not to invest your money into scam projects.

This is the first and the most important step that must be taken before investing in any project. Coinmarketcap has complete information about any coin/token. Pieces of information like Price, Market capitalization, Volume, Circulating supply, etc. All you need to know. 

Be sure to note that if a coin hasn't been listed on coinmarketcap which is not possible then it's definitely a scam project. You're advised not to go close.

The website of any project is another important factor whenever you're doing fundamental analysis. This is a very tricky one as it's not usually checked thoroughly by investors. What are we to check?

You can find the whitepaper of any project either on Coinmarketcap or on their website. A project without a whitepaper is definitely a scam project, no doubt about that. 

The whitepaper contains the full information about the project. Infomation like the creator, their Objectives, Background, Roadmap, Strategy, etc. Scam projects will definitely not go into details, so do well to read and digest all contents on the whitepaper.

The creator of a project is a vital factor of how well the project is going to be. A founder with a bad reputation will do more harm than good to the project. What else are you to check? 

    • Project Social Media Engagements; 

Ponder on these questions when checking their media platforms like Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, etc. questions like Who is posting about that project?, What are people saying about it (

!), What are their communities like, Are they Engaging individuals on their pages?. Don't leave any stone unturned. Although, since it's a new project they might not have gotten much attention but still make sure you keep an eye on them.

Once a coin/token gets listed on  Popular exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Kucoin, Huobi, and many others. It's worth investing. Although, This doesn't always determine the legitimacy of a project as many good projects have not been listed but are working towards it and vice versa. Keep an eye on them. Don't invest till they get listed on popular exchanges.

The use of technical tools like Dex tools, Unicrypt, and Block Explorer is also important as they'll be giving you pieces of information like if the token initial liquidity is locked (Causing a rug pull - You won't be able to withdraw), the coin/token charts have an only green candle on all timeframe ( Nobody has been able to sell), Contract Code, Address, etc. 

These few steps above will guide you through what you should check out and what you should do.

The Fluctuating Nature of the crypto market is one important aspect traders need to pay attention to as the price of a token/coin might either increase or decrease at an unexpected time. Although it's a good strategy, it's advisable that you have the full details of the token/coin you're willing to invest in the reason that some developers still have a hold of the disposed of coins these will cause a lot of losses in the market when the so-called disposed coins get released again.

This strategy isn't Always efficient, but it's worth trying


There are different reasons why coin burning is rampant these days, but here are a few reasons why individuals Coin Burn;


This is the first and main reason why individuals coin burn. Fluctuation in price is very natural in the crypto market, but when a coin/token begins to devalue constantly Coin Burning serves as a strategy to revive the price by reducing the amount in circulation. 

With the main aim in mind, New coins/tokens will surely get at least the attention of individuals. Once a project is trying to implement coin burning, investors will try to buy a certain amount in case the price spikes.

Assume a developer has a large amount of DogeCoin let's say 5 billion Doge to be able to hide from the public he has to burn a large amount also, so he burns 200 million doge. We'll see that within a little time the rumor of him having lots of dogecoins will reduce with him still having so much.

A lot of developers now give individuals the chance to mine their coins with the condition of them burning some amount of the coin they have. These coins/tokens may be for the same project or another project it depends on the developer. The Higher they Burn, the Higher their chances of being a validator.
